Rae A. Gularte, CPA

Senior Manager

Rae’s noteworthy career at Hayashi Wayland began the moment her college years ended. She joined the team in 1990, the same year she graduated.

Rae specializes in:
Auditing, management advisory services and audit department support. Her auditing background includes audits of nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, and California special districts.

She is known for:
Being friendly and available at all times to help clients and staff. (She’s also known ─ and loved ─ for making rich fudge, almond roca, mouthwatering shortbread and peanut butter squares during the holiday season.)

She works with:
Nonprofits, governmental entities and California special districts.

Her best capabilities are:
Looking at details and making sure information is correctly reported. She also enjoys problem solving and serving as a liaison between the techie side of things and the auditors working with computer programs.

What Rae likes most about her job:
“I enjoy helping clients make their work more efficient and in helping them to understand their accounting. I also enjoy cleaning up records and making them up-to-date.”

Community-minded:
Rae’s love of helping others extends beyond clients and coworkers. She also serves the community as the Board Treasurer of Confidence Pregnancy Center, Finance Team Member of Salinas Valley Community Church and Finance Team Member of They Are One.

What you may not know about Rae…
Rae’s free time mixes fun and games with nature. She’s an adept video game enthusiast and loves watching nature channels. She also loves seeing nature in zoos, and admits that she’s batty about bats and has barrels of fun with primates. “It’s hard to pry me away from the bats at a zoo, although getting me away from monkeys is just as difficult.”
