Outside of the office, John also shares his talents with the community. He currently serves as Past Treasurer for the Old Monterey Foundation, and has served as Treasurer for the Robert and Audrey Talbott Foundation, Monterey Youth Museum and Ag Against Hunger.

When Tax Season comes to its official close on April 15th, John hangs up the taxes and finally relaxes. As an annual tradition, he heads to Las Vegas. There, he celebrates the end of the season and enjoys having a chance to get away from everything.
