Local governments face ongoing challenges on multiple fronts. We understand these challenges deeply, and we stay current on local topics. This real-world knowledge, together with decades of experience working with local governments, provides a unique ability to assist governmental agencies. We specialize in the accounting, implementation and guidance standards issued by the Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB), along with cost-allocation plans. We also provide training and education to the accounting staff of our clients to keep them apprised of emerging issues.
Each year, we audit millions of dollars in federally funded programs through OMB A-133 Compliance Audits. We work collaboratively with our clients, and provide the resources and sound financial information needed to help make solid decisions.
For many years, Hayashi Wayland has maintained a membership with the AICPA Government Audit Quality Center (GAQC). This ensures that we will be the first to know of any important changes from the Government Auditing Standards Board and the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB). We receive advance notice when changes occur regarding government entities and their required reporting under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. As members of the GAQC we must, and do, maintain stringent guidelines to remain in compliance with the Center. Doing so expands our understanding of Government Auditing Standards and A-133 Compliance audits.
We have dedicated personnel and resources assigned to this practice. This ensures first-rate expertise, responsive answers and practical advice. Our team’s deep experience allows us to easily serve your changing needs and provide guidance as you grow. We work closely with other governmental agencies in our community and are proactive in sharing successful ideas.
