Timeline1976Hayashi & Wayland Accounting & Consulting, LLP was founded by Certified Public Accountants Douglas Hayashi and F. Warren Wayland in Salinas, California. 1989The team of partners grew to include John Gibbons, Sherrie Isaac, Cecil Robbins, and Alan Stark. 1990To meet the needs of their growing agricultural client base, a second office is opened in King City, California. 2000Mike Briley becomes partner. 2001Hayashi & Wayland merges with Shearn and Associates, and Jennings, Savage, & Sandys adding a retirement plan services division and an office in Carmel, which doubled the size of the firm. Steve Shearn and David Sandys become partners. 2006Sunny Wong became partner. Co-Founder Douglas Hayashi retires 2008Gina Andersen becomes partner. Cecil Robbins retires as partner after 20 years with the firm. Hayashi & Wayland opens an office in Monterey after acquiring Michael Green & Associates. 2009Mike Nolan becomes partner, bringing the total number of partners to 11 and the firm opens an office in Paso Robles. January 1, 2010Mike Briley, who has a total of 21 years with the firm, became Managing Partner. |
